A Maori carved treasure box and cover, of rectangular form with all over carved curved and notched bands rauponga, with mask lifts and handles, one with shell eyes, the remainder missing, with traces of red pigment, 4.75in (12cm) h, 13in (33cm) w. Cracks and losses to corners of the cover.
