the hinged lid with ebony, sandalwood, ivory and sadeli bands, revealing a fitted interior, with a lift-out mirror to the underside, above lidded divisions and compartments, with ivory sewing utensils, including reel barrels, a tape measure, a thimble holder, rulers and boxes with covers, with a pin cushion and other accoutrements, above a sandalwood lined drawer fitted with a velvet hinged writing slope, with compartments for pen and ink and with a large ivory ruler, with silver hinges, handles and rests
