A 19th century German lacquer circular box, the painted covered titled to the underdside 'Herodias mitdem Kopfe des Johannes, nach eninem Meister Bilde des Luini,' (Herod with the head of John (the Baptist) after Bernadino Luini,) 3.75in (9.5cm) dia. and a snuff box painted a half length portrait of a young lady.
