A George III mahogany campaign desk, with brass mounts, the hinged panel top to an Japanned surface, with catches releasing two side panels enclosing three drawers to the left and three short drawers and a deep drawer to the right, one short drawer with divisions including a pierced pounce pot, the front with a shaped escutcheon, on a fixed stand with curved brackets to the fronts, the reverse with a drawer, fitted later brass handles, with remains of faint inscription including date, '17?9,' the square tapering supports united by an undertier on leather roller castors, 29.25in (74.5cm) h, 24.25in (61.5cm) w, 16.5in (42cm) d.
