A William IV mahogany banjo shape barometer, with ebonised and boxwood stringing, having silvered dials, a convex mirror, a 10in. main dial, a turned bone adjuster, the level inscribed 'D.LUVATTE, PRESTON, Warranted,' 43.25in (109.8cm) h. A Dominic Luvate was working during the second quarter of the 19th century at 43 and 27 Friargate, Preston.
