the brass eight day twin fusee movement with five knopped pillars, a verge escapement, bob pendulum and repeat mechanism, chiming on a nest of six bells and striking on a seventh bell, the backplate engraved with a bird in scrolling foliage around the inscription 'Thomas Martin London' in a cherub cartouche, the brass dial with a silvered chapter ring with black Roman and Arabic numerals and a matted centre with a mock pendulum aperture inscribed 'Thos. Martin London', a date aperture and ringed winding holes, inside gilt winged mask spandrels, the case with a caddy top with a hinged marked silver gilt handle above silk lined fretwork sound panels and a stepped base
