A mahogany bureau bookcase, with a pair of astragal glazed doors enclosing adjustable shelves, the hinged fall to an interior fitted with pigeon holes, drawers and a central cupboard door flanked by secret compartments, above a well, with two short and two long drawers fitted replaced brass handles, on bracket feet, 18th century but top and base probably associated, 75.5in (192cm) h, 34in (86.5cm) w, 18.5in (46.8cm) d.
