Attributed to Henry Alfred Pegram (1862-1937). A painted plaster figure of a man reading a scroll over his right thigh, 24in (61cm) h, 21in (53.4cm) w, 17.5in (44.4cm) d, on a hardwood plinth. The above figure is a plaster copy of one of the three figures at the base of the bronze candelabra Pegram made for St Paul's Cathedral in 1898.
