A George IV turned ivory sundial

A George IV turned ivory sundial, compass and thermometer by T. Staight, London, with printed card dial, the outer ring with world cities and islands, 4.25in (10.8cm) dia. The under side with pen inscription in French dated 1829. Thomas Staight is listed by Gloria Clifton in Directory of British Scientific Instrument Makers 1550-1851, as working 1829-1860 making barometers, thermometers and ivory turner.
