A George III mahogany bureau bookcase, the Greek key moulded cornice above a pair of astragal glazed doors with barber's pole stringing enclosing adjustable shelves above a pull-out slide, the feather strung base with a hinged fall enclosing drawers and pigeon holes above graduated drawers, the veneered fronts with marquetry inlaid husks emanating from the escutcheon, with brass handles (probably replaced), on shaped bracket feet, 85.5in (217cm) h, 43in (109.3cm) w, 21in (53.5cm) d.
