A George III mahogany tea chest, of rectangular form with satinwood crossbanding and stringing, the hinged cover with a Sheffield plate handle, revealing a velvet lined surface with a pair of cut and engraved glass footed bowls and a pair of hinged lid canisters behind, the brass lock stamped a 'crown above GR', the front with an oval ivory escutcheon, with key, 6.25in (16cm) h, 11in (28cm) w.
