An early George III mahogany tea chest, of rectangular form with chequer banding, the moulded edge carved base with blind fret sides and later gilt brass escutcheon to a hinged cover with leaf carved edges and a replaced brass handle, the interior with three divisions, 6.75in (17cm) h, 10.75in (27.5cm) w. Provenance: Hinton House, Hinton Charterhouse, Somerset.
