IN THE MANNER OF IGNAZ ELHAFEN, 18TH CENTURY AND LATER
carved in high relief with the Rape of the Sabine Women, depicting half-naked women struggling with men in armour, the base of the silver mounts with Vienna hallmarks for probably Friedrich Georg Triesch 1836, and inscribed with inventory number 'No. 81', the rim inscribed 'From Sir Charles Domvile Bart to Lady Louisa Boyle on her marriage'
