IN THE MANNER OF RICHARD BRIDGENS, C.1835-40
in Elizabethan revival style, inlaid with ebony and specimen woods, the octagonal tilt-top decorated with a central interlaced parquetry star and rosette, surrounded by scrolling foliage and arabesques, with eagle's heads, flowers and butterflies, with a strapwork border, crossbanding and moulded edge, on a conforming faceted baluster stem and a carved triform base decorated with scrolls, cabochons and carved cartouches, on scroll feet and brass castors
