A late 19th century Russian lacquer box, the lid painted with a country family, the faux tortoiseshell interior with a gilt spreadeagle for Alexander III and with a signature 'Aykymana', 1in (2.3cm) high, 3¼in (8cm) wide, 2in (5cm) deep, together with another box the lid painted with a view of the Kremlin, the interior with gilt medallion marks.
