After the antique. A late 19th century Italian bronze model of Narcissus, the circular base signed 'SOMMER, NAPOLI', 62.9cm high, 24cm diameter.
Narcissus was discovered in August 1862 in a humble Pompeian house and was displayed soon afterwards in the Museo Nazionale.
