λ An Anglo-Indian ivory sewing box
λ An Anglo-Indian ivory sewing box, Vizagapatam, lac decorated with bands of ribbon tied flowers, the hinged lid with a monogram 'H L', the sandalwood interior with a lift-out tray with divisions and fitted with reel holders, clamps, a tape measure and a thimble, above a base drawer, early to mid 19th century, 9.1cm high, 29cm wide, 23.8cm deep.

Included with the lot is an invitation from His Highness the Maharaja to invite Mr and Mrs H. G. Alderton of the White House, Mysore to the Durbar at the Palace 26th September 1925.
