An 8 day Dutch walnut and marquetry longcase clock, the 12 inch brass dial signed Lourens DuChene, Amsterdam on the silvered chapter ring, subsidiary seconds and date aperture, ringed winding holes, four seasons spandrels, wheat ear engraved border, the arch with moon work, the 4 pillar movement with dutch striking, the break arch hood with fretwork and caddy top,the whole inlaid with birds and floral marquetry, similarly inlaid side panels, the bombe base with mask inlay, 7ft 11in (241cm) high.
