the brass eight day movement with four turned and finned pillars, with an anchor escapement striking on a bell, the twelve inch brass arched dial with a silvered chapter ring, with Roman and Arabic numerals, the matted centre engraved with birds and with a subsidiary seconds dial and a date aperture, signed 'Wm Larance Thame', with a painted moonphase dial, the case decorated in gilt and polychrome with chinoiserie scenes and with 18th century figures, with gilt metal ball finials
