A PAIR OF JAPANESE SATSUMA VASES AND TWO INCENSE BURNERS, KORO
MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY
The baluster-shaped vases with continuous scenes of figures and children frolicking under flowering prunus, both signed Kozan zo; the taller koro with vertical handles and a reticulated lid, the sides with panels enclosing beauties by the water's edge and a mountainous landscape, signed; the smaller incense burner raised on a tall foot and painted with shaped panels of figures and landscapes, 14.5cm max. (6)
