MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY

The circular zelkova bodies decorated with bamboo, prunus and chrysanthemum flowers in gold lacquer takamaki-e and nashiji with aogai mother of pearl inlays, the insides with copper liners, both 25.5cm dia. (2)

Provenance: from a deceased estate, Hampshire. Purchased from Michael Goedhuis; a copy of the original invoice is available.
