The next Japanese Works of Art sale will take place on 12th November 2019. It will include a large rectangular musen cloisonné enamel plaque depicting a full moon appearing from behind clouds, attributed to Ando Jubei and with a two character signature for Maruyama Okyo (1735-1795), the painter who produced the original design.
There will be a large selection of woodblock prints, silver and mixed metal wares and early porcelain pieces including a rare Arita dish with folded rim and incised decoration of chrysanthemum flowerheads and scrolling tendrils.
Highlights will be on view at our Mayfair office and the full sale will be on view in Salisbury.
