MEIJI OR LATER, 19TH OR 20TH CENTURY
Decorated with shaped panels enclosing famous views, each with a minute label enclosing a place name, and various birds and flowers, all on a ground of trailing vines; the interior with sakura (cherry blossom), acer and ginkgo leaves; signed with a rectangular mark reading Kyoto Komai sei and with the character Raku (for Shigaraki) in a circle; together with a miniature metal vase variously decorated with temples, a ho-o bird, a dragon and a bird amongst flowers; 9.2cm and 9.7cm respectively.
