A JAPANESE FOUR-CASE GOLD LACQUER INRO, KAJIKAWA LINEAGE
MEIJI ERA, 19TH CENTURY
Each side decorated with a roundel enclosing a small bird perched amongst branches, rendered in gold and silver hiramaki-e and takamaki-e on a kinji ground, the base inscribed Kajikawa saku; attached to a wood netsuke of a karako on an oversized fan, the boy depicted kneeling down; the inro 8.5cm, the netsuke 4.2cm.
