TWO JAPANESE IVORY NETSUKE

MEIJI 1868-1912

One depicting the god Daikoku with his typical elongated forehead and holding a staff, with three small children before him, signed Shozan to the base, the other depicting a standing foreigner holding a fishing rod and woven basket, with a small child on his back carrying a large bunch of grapes, signed Tsugutoshi to the back, 7cm max. (2)

Provenance: a Russian private collection.
