THREE JAPANESE ARITA BLUE AND WHITE BOWLS
EDO PERIOD, 18TH CENTURY
All three with a scalloped rim and brown-painted edge, each decorated in underglaze blue with figures in a mountainous river landscape, with calligraphy to the side referring to the Chinese poem 'Ode to the Red Cliff' by Su shi (1037-1101), the undersides left undecorated, 15.3cm each. (3)
