MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY
Two Japanese scroll paintings, the first in ink and colour on paper and depicting a small piebald dog underneath branches of bamboo, signed and with a red seal mark; the other in ink on paper and depicting a large rabbit beneath a full moon, a large red seal mark underneath, both with a wood box, 118cm x 30.5cm and 38cm x 33cm respectively. (4)
Provenance: formerly the Paula and David Newman collection, sold on behalf of the executors.
