A MINIATURE JAPANESE BRONZE VASE WITH MONKEYS BY GENRYUSAI SEIYA
MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY
The bulbous body raised on a short foot and with a tall flared neck, three small primates clambering around it, one holding another's foot whilst peering over the edge of the vase, another small one hanging from the rim, all three with their eyes inlaid in gilt; the base incised with a two-character mark for Seiya, 11cm.
