Realistically modelled, the young man depicted sitting on a rectangular plinth, his left leg resting on the right one and his hands holding his knee, with a gentle smile on his face, inscribed 1958 and with a two-character signature, possibly for Yamato, 34.5cm.

Provenance: an English private collection, Somerset, purchased in Japan.
