The netsuke carved as a mask of Okame, the Goddess of Mirth depicted laughinhg, the reverse inscribed Shuzan; attached by a cord to a double-gourd bottle with a wood stopper, 17.5cm max.
Provenance: an English private collection, Somerset, purchased in Japan.
