A LARGE JAPANESE POLYCHROME VASE
POSSIBLY MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY
Of baluster shape, decorated in bright coloured enamels and gilt with an Immortal riding a crane to one side, the reverse with a large minogame carrying pine, bamboo and prunus on its carapace; a band of palmettes above the foot, brocade patterns to the shoulder and flowerheads to the neck, 32.3cm.
