A SMALL JAPANESE SATSUMA VASE BY KINKOZAN

MEIJI OR TAISHO, EARLY 20TH CENTURY

The bulbous body with a short everted rim, decorated with a continuous scene of brightly-coloured pheasants in a garden with rocky outcrops, a large pine above them and many daisies, peonies and other flowers to the side, a border of cash design under the neck and scrolls above the foot, the base marked Kinkozan zo, 20.7cm.
