The sides and cover richly decorated in gilt and polychrome enamels, the top painted with many beauties, men and children enjoying hanami, the figures walking down a path by a stream lined with flowering prunus trees, the sides with a multitude of chrysanthemums and with borders of cash designs, waves and flowerheads; the insides embellished with a kaleidoscope of butterflies and clouds of gilt dots, the base with further butterflies, 6.1cm x 6cm x 13.8cm.
