A JAPANESE SATSUMA DISH BY KINSUI FOR THE KINKOZAN WORKSHOP
MEIJI PERIOD, C.1900
Decorated in polychrome enamels and gilt, with a central foliate panel enclosing three birds by a large flowering chrysanthemum and with further blooms around them, a red seal mark for Kinsui in the lower right corner; all reserved on a deep blue ground embellished with many flower sprays in gilt, the reverse with a stamped mark for Kinkozan zo enclosed in a gilt rectangle, 20.6cm.
