MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY
One depicting a butterfly, the wings with details picked out in lacquer and inlaid with mother of pearl and ivory in Shibayama style, the other of a low table laden with treasures including Daikoku's mallet, with details in gilt, lacquer and ivory, a large branch of coral in the centre, signed Kogyoku underneath, 5.3cm and 5.4cm respectively.
