EDO PERIOD AND LATER, 19TH CENTURY

One manju carved as a chrysanthemum flower with a paulownia mon to the centre; another a frog walking on its hind legs and holding an umbrella under its arm; the third a grimacing man, the design possibly taken from Hokusai's Manga, signed Midori to the back; the lid of the kagamibuta with chrysanthemum flowerheads and attached to a silver chain, 5cm max. (4)
