MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY

Carved as Minamoto no Yoshitsune, the military commander depicted riding a large horse under a pine tree, his mount trampling over two fallen soldiers, a two-character signature for Sukeaki in an oblong cartouche to the base, 7cm.
