A CHINESE KO-SOMETSUKE BLUE AND WHITE FOOTED DISH
TIANQI/CHONGZHEN, 17TH CENTURY

For the Japanese market, shaped as a gingko leaf and raised on three short feet modelled as lions' heads; the well decorated with three figures on a boat in a mountainous river landscape; the rim with mushikui and a band of spirals; together with a tomobako (wood box), inscribed sometsuke, hachi and with an ink drawing of the dish; 24.2cm. (2)
