SIX JAPANESE BLUE AND WHITE BOWLS BY SEIFU YOHEI III (1851-1914)
MEIJI OR TAISHŌ, 20TH CENTURY
Each painted in underglaze blue with horse riders and other figures in a continuous landscape, two raised on short feet decorated with spirals; in a box inscribed Kanhakujiboriga kawagutsu rokuyou (Six incised white porcelain shallow dishes), signed Teishitsugigeiin Seifu Yohei tsukuru with two seals, one reading Seifu; each bowl incised Seifu, five bowls measuring 13.8cm and the sixth 15cm.
