A JAPANESE IRO-NABESHIMA VASE BY THE IMAEMON WORKSHOP
HEISEI ERA, 20TH/21ST CENTURY

The gourd-shaped vase with a tall cylindrical neck, decorated with leafy sprays of peony in underglaze blue and red, cyan and yellow enamels; the base inscribed Imaemon, with a tomobako (wood box) inscribed Nishiki botan tsuru kabin (polychrome waisted vase with peony) and signed and sealed Imaemon to the reverse; 17.2cm.
