SHŌWA ERA, 20TH CENTURY
Of flattened form with a wide oval mouth, the sides decorated with geometrical patterns rendered in dark grey, blue and red on the rough stoneware ground, stamped with a rectangular mark underneath and 'SATCH 1982'; with a tomobako (wood box) inscribed Haitō saimon tsubo (ash-glazed earthenware vase with coloured patterns) and signed and sealed Kazuhiko , 21.5cm.
