The Immortal depicted stepping on a rocky outcrop, smiling while lifting a large frog in his left hand, holding a basket from which another amphibian emerges; both animals with the eyes picked out in gilt; the back of the base with a silver rectangular cartouche inscribed Joun, probably for Ōshima Joun (1858-1940), 23.5cm.
