Blade 15.5 in., hon zukuri, hamon based on suguha, mumei; iron tsuba, naga maru gata, taka-zogan decoration of a heron standing over the prow of a boat beneath a crescent moon; fuchi and kashira in shakudō with galloping horses in relief against a nanako ground; togidashi-same saya, kogatana with signed blade (Sagami no Kami Masatsune), the kozuka embellished in relief with a heron viewed from above.
