EDO PERIOD, 18TH CENTURY
Depicted seated on a double-lotus throne, holding the Cintamani (Wish-granting Jewel) in one hand and his Khakkhara (sistrum) in the other, with a circular halo behind him; wearing loose robes and with his head typically shaved, his eyes downcast; all raised on a base carved as rockwork with traces of polychromy, 53cm overall.
