Two Japanese woodblock print triptychs, oban tate-e, the first depicting the Sanemori Monogatari act of the play Genpei Nunobiki no Taki with four samurai discussing a golden helmet, published by Kamiyama Seishichi in October 1884; the other possibly depicting a scene from the play Hana Ayame Bunroku Soga , both signed Toyohara Kunichika hitsu on the right panel, both framed and glazed, both 35cm x 73cm. Provenance: purchased from Liberty's London in the 1970s/80s by the current owner’s father, and thence by descent.
