A JAPANESE WOOD AND LACQUER WRITING BOX, SUZURIBAKO

The rectangular body with lobed corners, the lid decorated in gold and silver takamiki-e with thatched huts and a small temple in a mountainous landscape, a silver moon and clouds above, the inside in hiramaki-e, with a large rectangular ink stone and a white metal water dropper, suiteki, 28.5cm x 22.5cm x 6cm.
