EDO 1615-1868

The ovoid body decorated in underglaze blue, red and gilt with a continuous design of a ho-ho bird flying above rockwork, with flowering branches of prunus, peonies and chrysanthemum growing over fences, the lid decorated with a similar design of many flowers and another mythical bird, together with a fitted wood tomobako box, 13cm. (2)
