A JAPANESE ARITA BLUE AND WHITE BOWL

18TH CENTURY

The cavetto decorated with two shaped panels containing branches of pine and with patterns of chevrons in between, the well with a single flowerhead, the reverse with scrolling tendrils and a fuku mark, a paper label for the Mary & Peter White Collection, together with a small Hirado dish painted with five boys at play amongst flowers, 14.5cm and 13.9cm respectively.
