TWO SMALL JAPANESE NABESHIMA DISHES

20TH CENTURY

One decorated in underglaze blue with sprays of irises, the other with a flowering prunus tree, the branches emerging from behind wisps of mist and with three o-mikuji strips of paper attached to them, the flowers painted in iron-red and pink enamels, both dishes with scrolling flowers to the underside, raised on a tall foot decorated with a comb pattern, 15.6cm. (2)
