A SMALL JAPANESE KAKIEMON TEA BOWL

Decorated in underglaze blue and red, green, cyan and black enamels and gilt, the well with a round cartouche depicting a dwelling by a lake, with a border of stylised waves beneath the rim, the outside painted with flowering branches of prunus and peonies emerging from behind fences to one side, and with bamboo growing from rockwork to the other, the base with a paper label for 'McPherson Antiques London W8', 7cm.
